With 20 years of experience as an interior stylist, home editor, props and set designer.

Soon after coming to New York in 1990 from my hometown of Boston I began working in display windows for Barneys NY. I received my bachelors degree in Interior Design and then worked for an architect designing modernist homes and shops. After 3 years, I took a position as a decorating editor at Martha Stewart Living magazine. It was here that I learned the ins and outs of the editorial and photo shoot worlds and honed my skills at creating comfortable and beautiful spaces for living.

Now freelance, I work on a wide assortment of commercial and editorial projects; My days are ever-changing - these assignments take me to many interesting places and expose me to a variety of situations and challenges that inform and inspire. Even after more than 20 years freelancing I am still driven by an interest in learning and the enjoyment of new experiences.

I currently split my time between an apartment in New York City’s East Village and the countryside of northwestern Connecticut where I am endlessly renovating and decorating a 300 year old house I bought fifteen years ago. My house there gives me the opportunity to test and develop my ideas and hone my expertise.
