Now with well over 15 years of experience as an interior stylist, home editor, prop and set designer!

Soon after coming to New York in 1990 from my hometown of Boston I began working in display windows for Barneys NY. I received my bachelors degree in Interior Design and then worked for an architect designing modernist homes and shops. After 3 years, I took a position as a decorating editor at Martha Stewart Living magazine. It was here that I learned the ins and outs of the editorial and photo shoot worlds and honed my skills at creating comfortable and beautiful spaces for living.

Now freelance, I work on a wide assortment of commercial and editorial projects; My days are ever-changing - these assignments take me to many interesting places and expose me to a variety of situations and challenges that inform and inspire. Even after more than 15 years freelancing I am still driven by an interest in learning and the enjoyment of new experiences.

Projects include, but are not limited to: -developing decorating, lifestyle, and craft content for shelter and lifestyle magazines -designing sets and selecting props for photo shoots and events -dressing up houses to be photographed or sold -shopping the home and tabletop market for the best and newest products. -working with private clients to assist with the decoration of their home by pulling together what they already have and adding the final stylish touches - be that paint, curtains, accessories or the perfect final piece of furniture.

I currently split my time between an apartment in New York City’s East Village and the countryside of northwestern Connecticut where I am endlessly renovating and decorating a 300 year old house I bought ten years ago. My house there gives me the opportunity to test and develop my ideas and hone my expertise.
